Fair Use Policy
Last Updated: February 10, 2026
Overview
XenonFlare offers unlimited storage and unlimited video processing to all users. To ensure fair usage and maintain service quality for everyone, we've implemented reasonable rate limits based on platform restrictions and best practices.
Upload Rate Limits
To prevent spam and ensure optimal performance, we enforce the following upload limits per 24-hour period:
| Platform | Maximum Posts per 24 Hours |
|---|---|
| YouTube | 10 posts |
| 50 posts | |
| TikTok | 15 posts |
| 20 posts |
These limits are per platform, per account. If you have multiple accounts connected for the same platform, each account has its own separate limit.
These limits reset every 24 hours on a rolling basis (not at midnight). For example, if you upload 5 videos to YouTube at 2 PM, you can upload 5 more after 2 PM the next day.
Storage Limits
While we offer unlimited storage, we enforce reasonable limits to prevent abuse:
File Size Limits
- Maximum file size per video: 10 GB
- Recommended file size: Under 2 GB for optimal processing speed
Storage Fair Use
- Typical usage: Most users store between 50-500 GB
- Heavy usage: 500 GB - 2 TB is acceptable for active creators
- Excessive usage: Over 5 TB may trigger a review
If your storage usage exceeds 5 TB, our team may contact you to discuss your use case. We're happy to accommodate legitimate high-volume creators, but we reserve the right to restrict accounts that abuse the service.
Processing Limits
Video Processing
- Concurrent processing: Up to 5 videos can be processed simultaneously
- Maximum video duration: 60 minutes per video
- Daily processing: No hard limit, but excessive usage (100+ hours/day) may be throttled
FFmpeg Processing
- While we don't limit total FFmpeg minutes, we do monitor for:
- Unusual processing patterns
- Repeated processing of the same content
- Non-video-related FFmpeg usage
Why These Limits?
-
Platform Restrictions: Social media platforms have their own rate limits. We align with these to prevent your accounts from being flagged or banned.
-
Service Quality: Rate limits ensure our servers can handle all users' requests efficiently.
-
Spam Prevention: Limits help prevent automated spam and abuse.
-
Fair Access: Ensures all users get equal access to our infrastructure.
What Happens If I Hit a Limit?
Upload Rate Limits
- You'll receive a clear error message indicating which platform limit was reached
- The error will show when you can upload again
- Your video will be saved as a draft and can be scheduled for later
Storage Limits
- Videos under the file size limit will upload normally
- Videos over 10 GB will be rejected with a clear error message
- If you approach 5 TB, we'll send you an email to discuss your needs
Processing Limits
- If all 5 concurrent slots are full, new videos will queue automatically
- Videos over 60 minutes will be rejected during upload
- Throttled processing will slow down but not stop your uploads
Need Higher Limits?
If you're a legitimate high-volume creator and need higher limits, please contact us:
- Email: [email protected]
- Subject: "Enterprise Limits Request"
- Include: Your use case, expected volume, and current plan
We're happy to work with professional creators and businesses to provide custom limits.
Abuse Policy
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits
- Use the service for non-video content storage
- Engage in spam or malicious activity
- Violate platform terms of service
- Share accounts or API keys
Changes to This Policy
We may update these limits as our infrastructure scales or platform requirements change. We'll notify users of significant changes via email and dashboard notifications.
